Two Cross $3 Million Mark
Corinna Schumacher has become only the second in NRHA history to reach the $3 million owner milestone. The Swiss native, who owns and operates XCS Ranch LLC and CS Ranch, surpassed the $2 million mark in August 2023. Since then her daughter, Gina Schumacher, has continued to lead the charge, earning significant victories aboard their horses.
Corinna established herself as a breeder of elite reining horses. Her dedication to developing top-quality equine athletes has yielded numerous champions, with her horses consistently excelling at major NRHA events. In 2024 alone, Gina and XCS Ranch and CS Ranch horses have teamed up to contribute nearly $400,000 to Corinna’s owner record.

“I am thrilled to be [No. 1] of course, but then I don’t really see it as my achievement. It is never just one person to accomplish something – it always is a team effort. This is something my husband Michael always told me, and I firmly believe in it. That’s why I am rather proud of our team, how strong and committed everybody is. Everybody contributes their expertise: Duane Latimer brings a wealth of experience, Gina is a strong performer, Iain is bringing professional and commercial passion, and really everybody is extremely committed to doing their best.
When you enter a competition, you naturally want to win and perform at your best. That’s what a competition is about. But I didn’t change anything to improve my ranking, since your success always depends on what you’re starting from. The decision to enter the U.S. reining world was clearly the right one, because this is where the level is highest. By competing with the best, you get better too. You learn and understand what they do and then try to do even better. That’s the key in the end, and at some point, this pays off.
This year our goal will remain the same: to breed, raise and train healthy, happy horses.
I believe as long as we remain committed to having the horse’s best interest in mind, the rest will follow. I truly feel like our program is getting stronger and stronger every year, so I’m looking forward to the next one.”
